Hi all and welcome back to this update on Zen on Purpose. If you weren’t already aware this is a niche website that I created due to my interest in wellbeing and developing healthy habits. The plan was to write about the topics that I learnt about during my own journey into the wellbeing space.
My plans however have changed over the last several months with this website. First I wanted to refresh the content that was on the site. This included the updating of existing content and to optimise the site for SEO and site speed.
As part ofdf this new plan I wanted to ensure that I gave users value for money. Firstly I want this site to remain relativley ad free for the user – meaning the content will act as more of a funnel system. This funnel will lead to the product I haver been working on – Calming Canvas.
Creating New Content for Zen on Purpose
This month I have worked on the site by providing another four articles. I am ensuring that the content is properly referenced and provides high quality content to the reader. The content of the articles is based upon my search analysis conducted in SEMRUSH. The keyword queries I am targeting currently have a 0 to 30 ranking difficulty. With this strategy I will be able to ensure that my articles are bringing in a good amount of new traffic over the next 3 to 6 months.
Creation of Calming Canvas
As I stated earlier, I don’t want to use advertising through Ezoic with the low level of returns I was gaining from my website Kindledcraft – a candle making website. The plan with this site will be to go down the ecommerce route. I seek to make products that I can sell that add value to this niche of people.
To begin with I plan to work on creating a series of colouring books that will allow people to relax and take time out of their day. I have always found colouring to be a stress release so why not make a product that I would use myself. The first purchase will me and I will take photos in a later update.
This will be the first Amazon book that I have published so I am excited to get a copy and work through the process with you. I plan to use Canva Pro to manipulate the images that I will gain from freelancers on Fiverr. The plan will be to edit and publish the book onto the Amazon marketplace.
From here I will track the sales analytics and update you on the sales numbers we get from the books over the next 6 to 12 months. The first book will be landscapes, the second birds and the final one will be wonders of the world (I am thinking of putting descriptions by each providing the reader with a sense of adventure).
Final Thoughts
I will provide updates on both the viewer numbers and content updates to this site in next months installment of this project. I will also provide the update in relation to how I uploaded the colouring book to Amazon and how the final product looked once I collated the Fiverr drawings and the formatting in Canva Pro.
